Usagi doesn't talk too much about his past. When pressed, he explains that he worked for one of the AAAs, and now he doesn't, and leaves it there. His voice is usually soft-spoken, and his English is moderately accented with a Japanese accent. He's generally found either at his little camper trailer working on his equipment, or out in his neighborhood helping the locals with assorted projects. It might be coincidence, but for some reason his particular row of homes doesn't seem to see as many break-ins as other places in the area.
Do the job, get paid. Keep out of his family's sights. Make things a little less drekky for his neighborhood.
Former Corporate SINner turned Shadowrunner.
His family are Renraku corporate citizens, which lead to certain expectations of duty and excellence. Usagi, in a former life, did his best to meet those expectations, joining the corporation's security services along with his sister, Kiriko. However, he overestimated the value of family loyalty in the face of corporate advancement, and found himself being forced out when his sister manufactured some damning evidence regarding his "cooperation" with other corporations. In an effort to throw off the ones looking to arrest him, he burned his SIN and retreated into the barrens, eventually turning to Running the shadows in an effort to stay alive, and perhaps to get a modicum of payback.

|1 hit||References to Japanese lore about rabbits and hares. References to a truly spectacular comic book from the 1980s to early 2000s.|
|2 hits||References to a Shadowhaven Runner account under the username LuckyHare, with contact details.|
|3 hits||Word of mouth accounts of a runner with a reputation for reliability, and a tendency to go easy on the prices in exchange for reputation boosts.|
|4 hits||A series of news clippings, Haven reports, and word of mouth posts from various chatrooms about Usagi; the runner seems inclined to go all-in on runs that target anti-metahuman organizations and heavyhanded authorities. In particular, a very aggressive takedown of HardCorps riot cops is referenced, in conjunction with several other runners. Further, he seems to have a tendency to seek unconventional approaches rather than straight-line assaults.|
|5+ hits||Usagi is almost certainly the current identity of one Soji Okita, who is wanted by Renraku for the crime of bioware theft. The bounty is currently set at 25,000 Nuyen, last revised upward by 5k nuyen two years ago. Renraku lists him as 'Status Undetermined; high threat.' Mr. Okita was formerly employed by the San Francisco branch of Renraku as a marksman on a High Threat Response Team, with one failed application to join the Red Samurai.|
Shadow Community Table
Shinkuro Hajime, private investigator.
5'4" and relatively slightly built. He has the faint scarring from frequent bioware surgery that wasn't done with aesthetics in mind, but is surprisingly slim for someone with a demonstrably physical approach to combat. His hair is brown with a reddish cast, and his eyes are a pale brown with green around the very edges of the iris.
His tastes trend toward the simple, particularly cargo pants and tshirts, on the average day. His combat gear is another story, with his armored jacket clearly having a samurai style without being a full suit of yoroi armor.
